Flag Aid

Am I the last person to notice that Ireland and Italy have the same flag (a green, white and red tricolour) ? Isn't there some sort of law against this?

I am slightly bewildered, and would welcome any help on this. Are there any other countries in the world with the same flag? What would happen in the event of an Irish-Italian war?

I think there is an Irish/Italian reference in Dylan somewhere (Irish Italian pawnbroker?). Any ideas anyone?

I think you'll have to accept that the Irish flag is white, green and gold (or orange), whereas Italy's is white, green and red, most definitely. But when it comes to a war it would still clearly be sensible for one side to wear their away flag, particularly for those watching in black and white.
